Digital marketing reinvention

Recently it dawned on me how many people and businesses are struggling with digital overall.  We know that reinvention is necessary in these ever changing times.  Marketing as a topic on its own is daunting for most businesses.  Couple this with how to reinvent your business in this new digital world? Wow! Daunting to say the least! Digital reinvention is not a small task given the myriads of articles and websites/blogs/social media posts dedicated to offering advice.  The amount of information is not only intimidating but at times, completely confusing.  Do this, don’t do that, make sure you get this – too many instructions!  Digital marketing – yourself and your business – is, when all is said and done, basic common sense.  But having said this, there are a few tricks of the trade which I will share with you in order to demystify this enormous topic.

Digital marketing reinvention is confusing at best

I am always surprised at the level of knowledge around when it comes to digital reinvention.  The market expects us to know what it’s all about; after all, social media has revolutionized the world and how we as consumers behave and act.  Therefore, it must be simple.  Well, it is if you reduce the amount of noise and focus on some key principles: create, own, execute. Over the next few weeks we will explore what these mean exactly.

Is digital marketing reinvention important?

We are told not to fix something if it isn’t broken.  But is this advice correct in the digital world?  Over the next few weeks, I will attempt to unravel digital reinvention.  What is digital reinvention?  Why is it important to me?  To my business?
